Remote Potential
Spent a little time tonight with the WiimoteLib, which lets you connect Wii input devices (the Wii remote, nunchuck, guitar, and balance board) to WPF applications at a pretty high level. I’d have no idea how to write such a driver myself, but it’s awesome to have it available.
The first application that comes to mind is to use the remote’s accelerometer to control 3D on-screen objects on all axes. And that’s without even touching the camera built into the controller, or any of the other peripherals.
Suckered, I just ordered Wii Fit, and plan to throw out the game just to play with the balance board in some application prototypes.
